Many Dodge models are getting a mid-cycle refresh, coming with updated looks and new platforms.

Though, it was previously rumored that the Charger and Challenger would be housed on FCA’s Giorgio platform, the automaker has decided to change directions and will sit two of their best-selling models onto the same platform used by the Maserati Ghibli for the generation. Both of these models with receive minor facelifts as well for 2019 before their total redesign in 2021.

It is also still rumored that Dodge will release the new Barracuda two-door convertible in 2021 alongside the updated Challenger and Charger.

This year, Dodge also announced that the Dart sedan and Viper sports car will cease production with no models planned to fill their place at thee moment. However, the automaker noted that the Journey crossover is returning, coming with rear-wheel drive sitting on the all-new Giorgio platform from, FCA, also shared by the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

The full-size Durango also gets a refresh in 2019, coming with three-rows of seating and plenty of features for the entire family.
