The 2018 RAM 1500 was recently spotted near Denver during a test drive with some notable changes to mention.

During the test drive, photographers caught glimpses under the hood of the new RAM 1500 and noticed a new four-cylinder engine underway for the next-generation model.
Most likely as a response to competitors like Ford’s F-150 EcoBoost, the RAM 1500’s smaller engine will also help this pickup meet new stricter fuel economy standards as well. This new engine is also believed to be included in models such as the new 300-horsepower turbocharged 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
Additionally, the new RAM 1500 is expected to adapt a new hybrid system with a 48-volt electrical system to further assist with performance and fuel efficiency.
While little information is known about the 2018 RAM 1500 and its new engine option, this highly anticipated pickup is set to make its debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show next year.
