Drivers may be on the edges of their seats for the new Dodge Challenger Demon, but Fiat Chrysler Automobiles urges potential customers to pump their brakes.

Recently, dealerships nationwide have stared accepting applications and deposits for the new Challenger Demon, and FCA execs want customers to be ware.

Tim Kuniskis of FCA states that pricing for the new 840-horsepower sports car has not yet been released and that dealers accepting deposits may not be able to deliver on their promise of getting their customers a new Challenger Demon.

“Technically, no one should be taking any deposits. They can’t physically take an order, and they shouldn’t be taking any deposits,” states Kuniskis.

Only 3,000 Demon models will be produced and FCA is concerned that the upcoming model will be oversold resulting in very displeased customers.

Official pricing for the Demon will be released within the next few weeks, and Dodge urges customers to make sure their dealer has an allocation of models before giving a deposit.
